Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by STRATO. When pages or downloads are requested, the server can process IP address, date and time, requested file, transferred data volume, referrer, browser, and operating system. Processing serves reliable delivery, security, error analysis, and misuse prevention under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

As the project default, STRATO stores anonymised IP addresses for 60 days unless a concrete incident or legal obligation requires different handling. Recipient: strato.de.

Downloads

Downloading the setup or standalone EXEs creates the same technical server-log data as a normal page request. No separate download profile is created by this website.

Local application data

The application reads the folders, CSV files, and first FITS image explicitly selected by the user. It writes requested JSON, TXT, CSV, XML, ODS, XLS, status, and HTML outputs to the selected folder or explicit output folder. The installer stores installation path, version, and website URL under HKCU\Software\AmrumSoftware\KnownObjectRanges.

Observation data and generated analysis files are not automatically transmitted. Users can delete result files in their selected folders and remove the installer registry values by uninstalling the application.

Updates, cookies, analytics, and advertising

Version 1.4.1 does not perform an automatic update check and does not transmit usage data. This website does not set application cookies and does not use advertising, behavioural analytics, or tracking services. The navigation preference uses browser local storage only on this device.

Contact

If you contact us by email or post, the submitted content and contact details are processed to answer the request under Article 6(1)(b) or 6(1)(f) GDPR. The default retention period is 60 days after the matter is completed unless legal duties or an ongoing matter require longer storage.

Recipients and international transfers

Technical website data is received by STRATO as hosting provider. Email data is received by the involved mail providers. No additional transfer to advertising or analytics companies takes place. No project-initiated transfer to third countries is intended; provider infrastructure and legal obligations can affect individual processing operations.
