Operation and core logic of NEOCP Machine.

Station

Look up the MPC station code to fill the station name, coordinates, time zone, sun and moon times, and the day/night graph.

Target planning

The target table shows position, residual, apparent motion, required exposure, field crossing time, Tycho stack feasibility and dropout score.

Automation

The automation switch supports one-time and persistent start behavior. The current release is conservative and dry-run oriented.

FITS Data

The image field is calculated from dimensions and plate scale. Already binned pixel sizes are not multiplied by binning again.

Shared MPC status check

After a successful MPC data request, the app may check neocp.txt in the background. All participating Amrum Software applications share a minimum ten-minute cooldown. Only a random shared installation ID, product/version, operating system, timestamp, latency, HTTP status, byte count, checksum, and a coarse error class are reported. Contents and observation data are not sent. The status endpoint returns no response data; the technically visible public IP address is used to derive the ISP and a location rounded to approximately ten kilometres. The function can be disabled globally for every participating application from the Data menu.
